Adult Braces
Adults wearing braces is common at Straighten Up Orthodontics. According to the American Association of Orthodontists, approximately 20 percent of orthodontic patients are adult, with 63 percent of those patients being female. Many of our adult patients in braces are wearing them at the same time as their children or grandchildren. Other adults prefer Invisalign® or lingual (behind the teeth) braces.
OVER 40?
As we age, the smile changes and the bottom teeth are the most visible when interacting with others. The upper teeth that are seen with a posed smile is important and looks great when straight. However, the straightness of bottom teeth are equally important as they are what are really seen when we talk. This becomes especially true in the natural aging process as our facial muscles change.
