Sleep Apnea
Dr. Bill is a qualified member of the American Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine. He is specifically trained in dental sleep medicine.
Dr. Bill’s role on a patient’s Sleep Apnea team is to provide an oral appliance for relief. Dr. Bill uses only FDA-approved appliances. Sleep Apnea means "without breath" and describes episodes of obstruction of breathing during sleep. A definitive diagnosis is done by a sleep study. Risk factors include: obese individuals; men whose anatomy is typified by increased body mass in the torso and neck (especially through middle age and older) children with short heave necks; and children with enlarged tonsils and adenoids.
Please view the slide show below for further information on sleep apnea and some of the appliances offered.
