Bonding of Braces
The Fourth Step
Braces being bonded to the teeth is called the bonding appointment. Straighten Up Orthodontics permits sixty (60) minutes for this appointment. The patient’s teeth are prepared for the brackets to be bonded to the teeth using specific orthodontic glue. After the brackets are bonded, then a wire is placed into the brackets and active orthodontic treatment begins. The patient is also given an orthodontic care kit and instructions on how to use the kit. It is important to keep the teeth healthy and to have great hygiene while the braces are on the teeth.
