After living with poor teeth all of my life, I was hesitant to flash a smile whenever I laughed, talked to someone or met someone for the first time. I was told that I had a nice smile but that was only by people who knew me and actually had seen me smile. I realized that my non-smiling, stern face affected both my personal and business relationships but as time wore on, I cared less and less of the impression that my teeth portrayed of me. My feeling was that people would "get over it".It actually was me that had to "get over it" and I finally made the decision to do something about it. I began the process when I was on my way home from my regular dentist (and feeling a little perturbed that he recommended that I go to a number of specialists) when I passed Straighten Up and decided to turn around and see what it was all about. After about a half hour of learning about Invisalign I decided to go ahead and I've been thankful for that day since.
It sounds corny, but at a time when my real estate and mortgage business were starting to see the signs of the bursting bubble, I had decided to go back into consulting and within a matter of months I had built a decent business. A short time later, I found a new client that became the biggest client.Coincidence or my new found joy of flashing the big smile? Maybe a little of both but I'm convinced it wouldn't have happened without Dr. Bill and his staff. Bob C. |
Due to Hurricane Katrina we evacuated to St. Petersburg, in 2005. During the first few weeks we were here our children were having problems with their teeth. Our son had a problem with his teeth overcrowding and pushing several of them behind other ones. Our daughter had the same problem with overcrowding. When we visited Pinellas County Health Dept. they told us about you. I called to make an appointment, I spoke to Sandie, what a jewel, and she made us feel like we were at home. You were a lifesaver, donating several retainers for Benai because of our situation trying to recover from losing everything due to Katrina. I remember you asked if we were going to be here for two years. I wanted to tell you no, but I couldn't answer the question. You told us it would take two years wearing braces for Darius' teeth to straighten. Your job did not end there as so many other orthodontics would have. The human factor would have been about dollars and cents and not what the individuals were experiencing due to the circumstances. The experience was so uplifting because you, your wife, Andrea and other staff have been warm, caring and interested in us as a family. This just exemplifies what type of person you are and who you surround yourself with. Darius has just had his braces removed and now Benai just started to wear hers. We want to thank you for how you treated our family and many blessings will be bestowed on you for your act of kindness. The Jackson Family, Ben, Pam, Darius, Benai and Destinee |
Dr Bill came highly recommended by friends for my daughter's Orthodontic treatment. From our first visit I could tell this was a friendly, affordable and caring practice. Putting off Orthodontic treatment myself for so long that on the second visit I decided to experience braces together with my daughter. Dr Bill cares for each and every one of his patients and it shows by the warm personal greeting you get from each visit!Jim and Andrea R. |
My expectations in a good doctor and staff are to make my experience with them a fulfilled one. Doctor / Patient relationships are usually for a long period of time and I expect to feel welcome and not feel like part of herd being rushed through.Dr. Bill and his team at Straighten Up Orthodontics have not wavered with their attention, personal care and availability. We have been patients since 2005 and our third child is due for Orthodontic treatment. We are in this relationship for the long haul! The Mayeda Family Clearwater, FL |
Dr. Bill and his staff really go the extra mile to make you feel like you're part of the family. The staff is always friendly and warm, and Dr. Bill doesn't hesitate to take time out to answer any questions. They've always been there to help with the wire that popped out, or the "I didn't know I couldn't have a jolly rancher" emergency. I have recommended Straighten Up to several people, and will continue to do so. The only thing that surpasses the friendliness of the office is the quality of work they produce.Monica (mother of Miles) |
