Thumbsucking
|
Some children as early as 5 or 6 years of age may benefit from an orthodontic evaluation. Although treatment is unusual at this early age, some preventative treatment may be indicated. Typically, children of tender years receive orthodontic treatment to stop finger or thumb sucking so that the permanent teeth can grow in properly. This may reduce additional orthodontic treatment created by thumb or finger sucking if continued. Results of Thumbsucking
